Based in the Community Centre on the High Street, we are open for three sessions a week:
Mondays 11:30 – 13:30
Wednesdays 14:00 – 17:00
Saturdays 11:30 – 13:30
We are affiliated to the Cambridgeshire Library Service. Therefore, when you join as a member of the Community Library, you can use any of the Cambridgeshire Libraries. If you’re already a member of Cambridgeshire Libraries, then you can use our Community Library straight away.
Our stock contains a large selection of adult books including fiction and large print, and a variety of non-fiction such as cookery, gardening, biographies and history. Children of all ages are catered for too. We have board books, picture books, early readers, fiction, young adult fiction, as well as some non-fiction books.
We have a weekly delivery and return service with all of the Cambridgeshire Libraries. You can also reserve a book from Cambridgeshire Libraries, either in person or online, and have it delivered to Brampton.
The library is run by our friendly, knowledgeable volunteers, who are always happy to help with any queries or reservations. They can assist you in finding the right books for you or simply chat about the latest bestsellers.
We encourage participation in the Summer Reading Challenge for children aged 11 and under. The Challenge encourages children to enjoy the benefits of reading for pleasure during the school summer holidays, providing lots of fun and enjoyment as well as helping to prevent the summer reading ‘dip’. The children receive awards for completing the Challenge. Currently, our Library is developing a range of information services and further news will follow about this
